Jeffry Lane Flake is an American politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Arizona, a seat he was first elected to in 2012. A member of the Republican Party, he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013. Flake was one of the bi-partisan "Gang of Eight" that pushed through a Senate immigration-reform bill in 2013. He is known as a vocal critic of President Donald Trump,, but votes overwhelmingly in line with Trump's position. Flake announced on October 24, 2017, that he would not seek reelection in 2018.
